Children and abuse
Are you in a domestic violence relationship?
Domestic violence affects children, even if they're just witnesses. If you have children, remember that exposure to domestic violence puts them at risk of developmental problems, psychiatric disorders, problems at school, aggressive behavior and low self-esteem. You might worry that seeking help could further endanger you and your children, or that it might break up your family. Fathers might fear that abusive partners will try to take their children away from them. However, getting help is the best way to protect your children — and yourself. Do not wait any longer to help help because it can be too late to get help. Even man go go through a domestic violence, it is not really only women. Some people do not want to get help because they think they may not get the help or they are threaten to be killed. If you do not get the help than you may get killed it is better to get help than staying and waiting for something worst to happen. If you have kids do it for your kids they do not deserve to see the domestic violence because in the future they may think domestic violence is OK.
